The Queensland Government has appointed Councillor (Cr) Kahn Goodluck as a Director to the Board of Gladstone Area Water Board (GAWB), commencing 8 August 2024. Cr Goodluck replaces outgoing Board member Peter Masters.
As a current councillor with Gladstone Regional Council, Cr Goodluck brings a wealth of experience regarding the local community and the wider Gladstone region.
Gladstone Area Water Board Chair, Ms Adrienne Ward, thanked Peter for his years of service to the board. “Mr Master’s knowledge and expertise has been of significant value to the organisation and has been integral to the maturity and growth of the organisation.
“We thank him for his service to GAWB, our customers, community and stakeholders”, said Ms Ward.
Ms Ward also acknowledged Cr Goodluck’s expertise and the experience he will bring to the Board.
“Cr Goodluck joins the Board at a time when significant projects such as the Fitzroy to Gladstone Pipeline are set to double our asset base and provide water security for the region.
“GAWB looks forward to working with our new board member and leveraging his knowledge and experience,” said Ms Ward.
In accordance with the Water Act 2003 (QLD), Directors are appointed for a term of three years. The continuing members of the GAWB Board are Ms Suzanne Burow, Mr Mitchell Petrie and Ms Tina Zawila.
